Founded in 1969 and wholly owned by Mr. Choa Goan Ho, Sea Contractor (S) Pte Ltd began as a workshop crafting wooden ship steering wheels and fittings. By the 1970s, the company expanded into the production of pilot and hardwood ladders, operating from Geylang Bahru before moving to Sungei Kadut to meet growing demand.
