The JB22 life jacket cabinets can store approximately 7 foam filled life jackets or a smaller number of immersion suits. The exact capacity depends on the model of life jacket or immersion suit. The Jo Bird sales team will be happy to check for you. The JB22s are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.

The design features a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM bubble seal around the lid aperture. The 316 Stainless steel hinges and lid catches are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers for long term durability. The lid can be raised even when the chest is tight to a bulkhead so no gap is needed behind the chest. This saves precious deck space.

The placement of the catches make it easy to open the lid in an emergency even when wearing gloves. The catches can be fitted with anti-tamper seals for enhanced security.
