The JB72 Life jacket cabinet stores approximately 28 foam filled life jackets or a smaller number of Immersion suits. The exact quantity depends on the types being stored but is typically between 18 and 35 pieces. The number of immersion suits is smaller due to their much larger size. The Jo Bird sales team will be happy to check for you. This versatile design can be used for a number of other purposes too. This includes oil spill equipment and emergency descent device storage.
The chests are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.

This chest design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM seal around the lid aperture. The 316 Stainless steel hinges and lid catches are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. The lid catches are large enough to be opened even when wearing gloves and positioned so one person can open the chest. Anti-tamper seals can be fitted to the lid catches. The base of the chest has integral feet which are reinforced for deck or ground mounting. Heaters and insulation are available as optional extras for cold climates. Please ask for details.
